Can the Lasernet Platform run on AWS and Azure?

Yes. The Lasernet Platform can be hosted in Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services. Lasernet Cloud is delivered exclusively on Microsoft Azure, where hosting and platform operations are managed on your behalf.

Customers and partners can also deploy Lasernet and Lasernet Keep within their own cloud environments on either Azure or AWS, managed by their internal IT teams or trusted hosting partners.

Scalability and resilience capabilities continue to evolve as part of the Lasernet 11 platform and our wider cloud roadmap, with availability varying by deployment model and cloud provider.
Do features change between cloud and on-premise deployments?
No. The Lasernet Platform delivers the same core functionality regardless of where it is hosted. Document generation, distribution, archiving, retrieval, templates, workflows and integrations behave consistently across cloud, on-premise and hybrid deployments. This ensures you do not lose capabilities or need to redesign document processes when choosing or changing your hosting model.
Is Lasernet Cloud a product?
No. Lasernet Cloud is not a separate product or edition. It is a managed SaaS option for the Lasernet Platform. The underlying platform remains the same, with the same features and configuration options. The difference is operational responsibility. With Lasernet Cloud, Lasernet manages the infrastructure, monitoring, updates and availability, while you focus on using the platform to run your document processes.
Can Lasernet and Lasernet Keep be hosted differently?
Yes. Lasernet and Lasernet Keep can be hosted independently as part of a hybrid deployment. Many organisations choose to run document generation close to their ERP systems, for example on-premise, while hosting archiving and retrieval in the cloud. This approach allows you to balance performance, compliance and cost, while still operating both components as one connected Lasernet Platform.
How does hosting work for Lasernet with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations?
When Lasernet is used with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, the hosting model is fundamentally different from conventional deployments. Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations is already fully hosted and managed within Microsoft’s cloud. Lasernet does not replace or duplicate that environment.

Instead, only the Lasernet Server is hosted, either on-premise, in your own cloud, or via Lasernet Cloud. Lasernet connects directly to Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations using supported integrations, embedding document generation, formatting and distribution seamlessly into the Dynamics user experience. All business data remains within Dynamics, while Lasernet handles document logic and output externally.

This approach reduces infrastructure complexity, avoids unnecessary duplication of systems, and aligns with Microsoft’s cloud-first architecture, while still giving organisations full flexibility over how and where the Lasernet Server itself is hosted.
