Routing Documents by Customer Preference, Currency or Language with Automatic Fallback

Recipients do not all want the same document in the same channel. One customer may require email, another print and another a structured file, while the selected route may also depend on currency, language or account rules.

The Challenge: Static Delivery Settings Create Manual Exceptions

When an ERP supports only one default destination, staff must change channels, formats and attachments by hand. A missing address or unavailable route can also stop the process unless a fallback has already been configured.

The Lasernet Approach: Configured Predefined Destinations

Lasernet Predefined Destinations are configured in advance for the channels and outputs an organisation supports. Data rules evaluate customer settings, currency, language or other transaction values and select the appropriate predefined destination. A fallback destination can also be configured so the workflow moves to an approved alternative when the preferred route cannot be used.

Why It Matters

The benefits are clear:

  • Personalisation: each recipient is matched to a configured route and output format
  • Resilience: predefined fallback destinations reduce stalled delivery
  • Automation: staff do not need to select channels and attachments for every transaction

Let Configured Rules Choose the Destination

Predefined Destinations give organisations controlled, repeatable routing through the approved destinations and fallback routes configured for their processes.
